Well folks....this is what your first haircut looks like when Mommy and Daddy take charge and do it themselves. Yes, you may be a little stunned as well if it were you. Haha! Originally, we wanted to take Jack into the city to get his first haircut. A momentous occasion that is signified with a certificate, a toy, and a joyous experience in cartoon character chair, or perhaps an airplane shaped chair. But not if they're going to charge you 35 BUCKS! Yes. That seems to be the going rate in the area, which has ultimately made me google "opening a child's haircut salon". Can you believe that there is no such place in Hoboken?? This place is booming with shaggy haired kids!
We took mostly video of the momentous occasion and, of course, saved a small snippet of hair. And this is the one "after" photo that we got. I'll try to post the video, but it's pretty lengthy and it's mostly of Tommy and I arguing about the best way to cut hair on a child who is in their highchair in the middle of the kitchen, half asleep...but now awake due to the sound of the scissors near his ears. Lol...turning his head to see what's going on back there!
Jack did great, though. And it almost looks like we'll have to do it again soon!

This is another reason to move back to SC...I think I pay around $10 for Ruth Ann's hair cuts.
