| Jack and Da-Da at Sandy Hook, NJ on Father's Day |
Happy Father's day, Dads!! We hope that you had an amazing day....you definitely deserve it! The Gisondi clan took it down to the beach for the day to celebrate and it was perfect! The weather turned out to be beautiful, not too hot and not too sunny. Being that this was Jack's first time to the beach since he was about 6 months old, we were wondering how it would go. But we should've known that he would love it. We ended up going on the Bay side of the Hook because we can bring Zolie with us. I also thought that the fact that there are no huge waves on this side would be better for Jack and his exploring. I think I was right! Jack had no problem walking right up and into the water. He had a blast finding rocks and throwing them into the water. We even got to see a horseshoe crab up close and personal when one washed up on shore! It was pretty cool. I guess we'll really have to start thinking about another summer beach house next year, as it's obvious that Jack loves being in the sand and water!
For Jack's 15 month Dr appt, which was really when he was 16 months because that's how long it takes us to get in at the dr, we have had a huge amount of growth! Jack has gained 4 lbs since February and has grown 3 more inches since then, as well. He's now 28 lbs and 33", which puts him in a percentile for height and weight between 75 and 90%! It's really amazing how strong and healthy he is. Just the other day, we met a 22 month old that was the same height as him! And he definitely had a bigger belly than she did...haha!
