| First snow of the "season"! | | | | |

Well, well, well....hello winter!! Can you believe the weather so far?? It's in the 60's here today, but back in October, we received about 7-8 inches of snow right before Halloween! It was a super crazy day that started with "Wait, is that sleet? No....can't be. Wait, is that snow? What?!" And it did not stop, all day long! So, of course, the first snow warrants a visit outside to play in our new snowsuit! It was a short lived play, as trees and branches were falling down all over the place. Jack was actually getting scared by this and stuck to my side as soon as he heard the crackling. Which, by the way, is all that you heard all day long. Tree branches cracking and falling to the ground and sirens. Luckily, we didn't lose our power, but we sure did hear and see a few transformers blow up. It was a crazy day!
As for Halloween, the Wednesday before was The Carlyle Group's kids halloween party, when the kids of the employees dress up and trick or treat around the office. Jack was a cowboy this year, but was only half dressed as one for this event. We were lucky to get the chaps and plaid shirt on, but that's about it! No hat, no boots, nada. But he sure did know what he was doing and grabbed huge handfuls of candy. Sometimes, stopping for multiple picks out of the same candy bucket!! What a smartie.
Next event was his daycare's Halloween Carnival. This was so cute. They decorated part of the daycare like a haunted house and had games and food in the other half. For this, we got Jack in the entire outfit!! Yay!
Halloween night was a completely different story. I got home a little early thinking that he'd want to dress up and go trick or treat on our block (a first for us, being in the suburbs and all!) but he wanted no part of dressing up. I guess 3 days was a bit much to ask for. And when we started to hand out candy to the kids, he got so mad and upset because it was "MY CANDY!!" Oh, Jack Hee hee!
Now on to the holiday season. Family visits and Thanksgiving coming shortly! Happy Holidays!

| Jack, put your hat on like Daddy. NOOOOO!! |
And of course, Mommy and Daddy dressed up too. Although, I didn't have a hat, so I had to borrow Zolie's. Ha!

| Now, we just need some horses.... |

| Ready for the party! |
| We were a little late on the pumpkin carving, but got it in the day before Halloween. And of course I don't have a photo of it at the moment. Stay tuned!! |
 |
| Time to carve! But first we need to scoop the seeds out. Ew! |
