They said, at the hospital, that we needed a snowsuit to take him home in. Lol....good thing we had this adorable bear one with us! So he was in his froggie outfit, being stuffed into a bear suit. How adorable! Ha! He totally reminded me of the kid from A Christmas Story, when he's in his snowsuit with his arms sticking straight out.
Once we got him in his suit, it was time for Jack's first car ride! He basically wailed as we put him into the car seat. And in went the pacifier! So much for holding off on using those!
And then we were finally home after 4 long days in the hospital. Phew! I was ecstatic to be home. I hadn't stepped outside in 4 days! It was a relief to be in our own bedroom and to take a shower in our own bathroom. And the bonus was that my parents were there waiting for us. It definitely made the first day/weeks at home seem a lot less overwhelming.
