Pumpkin picking with our Punkin'!

Another reason why I love Halloween so much is for the pumpkins!  I love taking hayrides, going to pick pumpkins, carving them, and eating their seeds.  Only thing different this year is that I didn't have time to carve the pumpkins.  But I did scoop out the seeds and tried frying them.  Not what I expected (not like deep fried peanuts....yum yum!) but better than baked seeds.  But fried anything is always better than baked anything!  And this year, I'm going to try (nope, haven't yet) steaming the pumpkin for Jack's food.  That's if I get to them before the squirrels on the porch eat them.  Here's some shots of Jack on his first pumpkin picking excursion.
